What Good Hydraulic Oil Needs

• Viscosity that works: Flows well even when it’s cold or under high pressure.
• Stays reliable long-term: No physical or chemical changes over time.
• Fights oxidation: Prevents rust and stops parts from corroding.
• Cleans quickly: Gets rid of impurities fast, while reducing foam and resisting emulsification.
• Lubricates well: Keeps moving parts from wearing out.
• Fits all seals: Works with every type of seal material without damage.
• Safe to use: Low evaporation rate and strong fire resistance.
• Non-toxic: Won’t harm operators or the environment.

Fast Maintenance Checks to Follow

• Viscosity change: Don’t let it go over ±10-15%.
• Total acidity: Keep it below 0.4 mg KOH/g.
• Moisture level: Make sure it’s no more than 0.1 Vol%.
• Contamination: Keep it under 5.0 Mg/100ml.

Temperature Guidelines

Start-up: 10-15℃ | Warm-up phase: 15-30℃

Regular operation: 30-70℃ | Risk zone: Above 80℃

Shunhao Recommends: SHELL-46 Hydraulic Oil

For our melamine and urea machines, we use SHEEL-46 High-Performance Hydraulic Oil. It’s made from paraffinic base oil treated with hydrotreating—so it’s very dependable. When adding oil:

Use the oil inlet at the back of the machine.

Fill the tank to no more than 80% (adjust based on your machine’s size).
